Evelyn greatly loved by all who knew her, and she will live in our hearts and memories for ever.
Our beautiful angel.
God bless mum.❤️
Our special lady.❤️
Mum. What can I say? You were always there for us, in the good times and the bad. You were our Angel and I hope you will always continue to be.
One thing that made you different from a lot of people, myself included, is that you were able to laugh at yourself and never took offence when we joked. Maybe that’s why you didn’t put your hearing aids in! But you always smiled.
Will miss you terribly, but I know you’ll always be looking out for us.
Thank you for being a great mum and I’ll always say ‘I love you’ x
When I think of ‘Aunty Evelyn’ I see twinkling eyes in a beautiful face. Such a memory and sense of humour. A head-turner all the time I knew her and greatly loved by her family. She couldn’t have wanted for more. My favourite memory is from a family gathering when she patted the seat beside her and beckoned my handsome son-in-law to sit right down next to her. A woman of great taste and discernment! My heart goes out to all of you who miss her. Know that a little bit of her resides in all of you.xx
Thankyou Caron,
Beautiful words.
Great memories.
She was a real Grimshaw,what a family.
“Queen” is the only word to describe this woman.
I feel exceptionally lucky to have been able to call this special lady my Great Grandma for 26 years. Will always be my biggest inspiration in life and if I could be half the woman you were Grandma I will know I’ve made it in life.
Thank you for the memories, laughs and most of all the love.
You will always hold a special place in all of our hearts.
Love you forever more❤️
My grandma, my best friend. You have played such a big part in my life, I can’t imagine you not being in it. We have made so many amazing memories together that will last a lifetime. As l reflect on my Auntie Evelyn, l think of her smiling and laughing, l loved her stories from her youth though you knew many were through difficult times they all added to her loving character. I briefly worked at Lambert’s with Auntie Evelyn and Uncle Harry and would visit them as they worked together in the back room, they were always happy and smiling, and l smile now as l think of you being reunited,.
My mum enjoyed your company as she traveled with you to Portugal, or visited you in the IOM.
I was fortunate to be among the many guests that celebrated your 100th birthday. I’m going to miss you Auntie Evelyn, love Gary xo.

Grandma- I have lots of memories of you when I was younger and we were always so excited to see you. I regret that we have not shared as many in the last few years but I never stopped loving you and loved to see your smile when I came. I will start that cod liver oil now that made you look so young- you used to give us a spoonful every day we stayed with you and we moaned but now I can see why you wanted us to have it.
Even my friends who came to see you in Isle of Man loved you and send their love. I never saw you without a smile.
I will miss you.
Love
Victoria xx

Mum, it’s one week since we all gathered for your service.
I’m still crying and I bet I’m not the only one!
It was a lovely service, befitting of a very special mother.
As the days have passed I’ve remembered even more times that we spent together. You never abandoned us, you always loved us and I’m sure you’re sitting up there in Heaven watching over us.
And the white feather that Jasmin told us all about, we all believe it was a sign from you.
Thank you for your love. Everyone of us will return that love forever and you’ll always be in our prayers.
Give our love to Harry and all your family up there with you.
A big, big hug and kiss
